The purpose of this study to identify methodological approaches to the development of tests for assessing apparatus dexterity in rhythmic gymnastics based on a systematic review of the scientific literature, taking into account the experience of other sports.
Methods and organization of the research: The systematic review was conducted in accordance with the PRISMA 2020 guidelines. The searching for publications was conducted in the databases eLIBRARY.RU, Google Scholar, ResearchGate for sports with specific manifestations of manipulative skills (rhythmic gymnastics, basketball, hockey, table tennis and tennis). From the initial sample of 4,500 publications, 9 articles relevant to the research topic were selected.
Results of the research and their discussion. It has been determined that most tests for assessing manipulative skills represent basic technical elements performed in isolation, which reduces their diagnostic value. According to the structure, test tasks are classified into three groups: simple (single-element), complex, and tests with the integration of body and objects movements. An analysis of tests in team sports has shown the potential of using quantitative evaluation criteria, complicated performance conditions, and the high reliability of a number of tests, which can be extrapolated to rhythmic gymnastics.
Conclusions. During the systematic analysis, methodological requirements for the development of authentic tests for assessing the manipulative skills of gymnasts were determined: the complex character of the tasks, synchronization of body and apparatus movements, inclusion of conditions of increased difficulty, an objective quantitative assessment system, metrological justification and age differentiation.
