The purpose of the study is to evaluate the physical activity of the population engaged in labor activity.

Methods and organization of research. Pedagogical monitoring of physical culture and sports activities and timekeeping of physical activity of employees of enterprises with the participation of 2,640 people (1,320 men and 1,320 women) were carried out. The method of control tests was used to evaluate the indicators of the level of physical fitness according to the tests of the TRP complex (2025). The results were processed using mathematical statistics methods.

The results of the study andtheir discussion. The level of physicalactivity of the population engagedin laboractivity has been established, corresponding to 7 thousandsteps perday. Theamount of physical activity of employees involved inevents held by the employerwithin the framework of corporate sports has been determined, equal to 1-3classes per week. It has been established that thephysical culture and sports activitiescarried out do not have a training function, providing only a psychophysicalreadiness to performdaily activities.

Conclusion. The results of the scientific research made it possible to identify the parameters of physical activity of the population engaged inlabor, the volumeand duration of which are provided only by an individually determined level of fitness, which makes it possible to perform current labor, household and socialfunctions throughout life.
