Relevance. It is possible to fully realize the health-improving educational and developing potential of physical culture and health-improving activities if you captivate the child, help him to realize the value of mastering the motor-game experience, and form a positive attitude towards physical culture minutes. We believe that children's attitude towards physical culture minutes can be considered one of the criteria for assessing the quality of physical culture and health-improving activities.
The purpose of the study was to identify and evaluate the emotional attitude of older preschool children towards physical culture minutes.
Research methods. Analysis of scientific papers and pedagogical experience; observations, conversations, the Luscher test, expert evaluation, and ranking.
Research results. In the study, physical education minutes are considered as an important component of physical education and health activities for preschoolers, contributing to the development of an individual healthy lifestyle, strengthening health, and creating psychoemotional comfort. This is particularly relevant in the stressful conditions of the social environment in Russia's border regions. 64% of children in the preparatory groups have a more or less positive emotional attitude towards this type of physical education and health activities, while 36% of children in the same groups have a certain level of concern.
Conclusions. According to the experts, the identification and assessment of the emotional attitude of older preschool children towards physical education minutes indicates the need to improve health-improving practices in the system of physical education for preschool children, as well as new pedagogical approaches to planning targets, orientation, and content of small forms of physical education and health activities.
