The purpose of this study is to systematize the technical features of high-class swimmers with musculoskeletal disorders performing turns in various sports and functional classes.
The following methods were used in the work: analysis and generalization of specialized literature, analysis of athletes' classification cards, and biomechanical analysis based on video recordings.
Results and discussions. In various sports and functional classes, a number of deviation predictors have been identified that directly affect the technical actions of athletes: absent/weak kicking from the pool wall S/SB1-S/SB9; absent/ineffective body extension during underwater gliding S/SB1-S/SB6; insufficient hip, knee, and ankle flexion for effective locomotion during somersaults at the pool edge S/SB4-S/SB6, S/SB10; shortened stroke trajectory before exiting the water in the breaststroke (only in the breaststroke) S/SB1-S/SB8, S/SB10; ineffective kicking/arm-wielding in the water column when exiting the surface S/SB1-SB4, S/SB10; absent/ineffective arm-wielding when approaching the side S/SB1-SB8, S/SB10; absent/ineffective kicking when approaching the side S/SB1- S/SB9; missing/ineffective arm strokes when reaching the surface after performing the S/SB1-SB9 turn; missing/ineffective leg strokes when reaching the surface after performing the S/SB1-SB8, S/SB10 turn.
Conclusions. It has been revealed that in swimming sports, individuals with musculoskeletal disorders have the same predictors-deviations that directly affect the quality of their athletic performance. However, in some sports and functional classes, these deviations may not be evident due to the greater nosological potential of the athletes.
