RESEARCH AREAS USED IN DISSERTATIONS IN SCIENTIFIC SPECIALTIES 5.8.4, 5.8.5 AND 5.8.6. (0.33 Mb, pdf) Read

Annotation:

This article presents an analysis topics of dissertations for the degrees of PhD and Grand PhD in the pedagogical sciences in the following specialties: 5.8.4, 5.8.5, and 5.8.6. 

The purpose of the article – comparative analysis of the topics of dissertations from 2023 to 2025 for the degrees of PhD and Grand PhD in the pedagogical sciences in the research areas of the passports of scientific specialties 5.8.4, 5.8.5, 5.8.6. 

Methods and organization of the research – search and selection of dissertations in databases, mathematical analysis of the results. 

Research results. A total of 164 PhD dissertations and 7 Grand PhD dissertations were completed in these three specialties during the study period. The most relevant research areas in specialties 5.8.4, 5.8.5, and 5.8.6 during the study period were identified. In specialty 5.8.4 – Physical Education and Professional Physical Training, dissertations were completed in 7 of 28 research areas, as defined in the specialty passport. In specialty 5.8.5 – Theory and Methodology of Sports – dissertations were completed in 14 of 31, and in specialty 5.8.6 – Health and Adaptive Physical Education – dissertations were completed in 6 of 26 research areas. 

Conclusion. The results of the study can be used to assess the dynamics of priority research areas in dissertations in the area of the physical education and sports in our country.
