The aim of the study is to identify the dynamics of involvement and structural features of the performance of the VFSK GTO (All-Russian Physical Culture and Sports Complex Ready for Labor and Defense) tests for distinctions by the population from 6 to 70 years of age and older in the Russian Federation.

Research Methods and Organization. The study examined the following: analysis of federal statistical reporting for the 2-GTO program; physical activity of the Russian population during the GTO program, including the number of those who completed the GTO tests for badges; an assessment of the popularity of GTO tests; and the level of physical fitness among the population aged 6 to 70 years and older. The study utilized descriptive statistics, comparative analysis, structural analysis, and time series interpretation. Indicators were compared using absolute values and the relative weights of levels within the total number of those who completed the tests.

The results of the study and their discussion. This article analyzes the performance of the Russian population in the VFSK GTO standards in 2023–2025. Two interrelated aspects are examined: the total number of participants who completed the test for the distinction badge and the distribution of results for gold, silver, and bronze badges across levels 1–18. It was found that 2024 saw the highest number of participants who completed the test, while 2025 saw the highest proportion of gold badges, with a simultaneous decrease in the overall number of participants who completed the test.

The data obtained demonstrate positive dynamics in the quality of performance standards, an increase in the share of gold badges awarded in the GTO complex, and continued high activity among children and youth participants (ages 6-17).

Analysis of statistical data for 2023-2025 revealed a significant gap in the level of engagement between young people and middle-aged individuals.

Conclusion. The study identified quantitative and qualitative indicators of compliance with the state requirements of the GTO complex for 2023–2025, making it possible to assess the scale of engagement and level of physical fitness among the Russian population aged 6 to 70 years and older.
