The purpose of the research is to investigate the relationship between anthropometric indicators and maximum alactic power with the results of ice tests in young hockey players of different positions.
Materials and research methods. The study involved 104 hockey players aged 12-14. Body composition was assessed using bioimpedance analysis, maximal alactic power was measured on a bicycle ergometer, and ice tests including speed and maneuvering skills were also measured. To analyze the differences between defenders and forwards, Student's t-test and correlation analysis were used.
Research results. A strong connection was found between alactic power on a bicycle ergometer and the time of 30-meter sprint on ice for both defenders and forwards. Significant differences were revealed between the positions: defenders demonstrated higher absolute maximum alactic power and muscle mass, contributing to greater stability in contact situations.
Conclusion. The results of the study emphasize the importance of considering positional anthropometric and physiological differences when designing training programs for adolescent hockey players. Comprehensive examinations allow for more accurate evaluation of physical qualities to improve the effectiveness of sports training.
