The purpose of the research is to study the possibilities of digital technologies in solving topical issues in various areas of activity in the field of physical education and sports.
Methods of the research. Theoretical analysis and synthesis of data from scientific publications.
Research results and their discussion. The current issues of various areas of activity in the field of physical education and sports and their solutions within the framework of widespread digital transformation, defined by Decree of the President of the Russian Federation dated July 21, 2020 No. 474 "On National Development Goals of the Russian Federation for the period up to 2030", are considered. According to the analytical report by the Higher School of Economics specialists, the rapid development and active use of "end-to-end" digital technologies was noted: neurotechnology, artificial intelligence, new production technologies, virtual and augmented reality, big data, robotics and sensors, distributed registry systems, quantum technologies, wireless communication technologies, industrial Internet. Examples of the use of digital platforms and devices to solve certain issues in each area of activity in the field of physical education and sports are given: professional training of specialists, training and competitive activities, physical education and recreation activities, research activities, management in sports, the Olympic movement, organization and management of sports events. Promising areas of "end-toend" digital technologies have been identified.
Conclusion. The digital format expands the comfort conditions and simplifies work in various areas of human activity. Artificial intelligence and virtual reality technologies are highlighted as the most promising in all areas of activity in the field of physical education and sports. The creation of a single digital space for the accumulation of all major management processes allows us to quickly solve many topical issues in this area.
