The research purpose was to determine the influence of the use of elements of sensory integration in the correctional process of children with attention deficit disorder.

Methods and organization of the research. The study involved 16 senior preschool children aged 5-7 years, who were divided into control and main groups. During the experiment, the influence of the modified method on the indicators of static and dynamic coordination, differentiation of movements of the fingers, visual-motor coordination, as well as on cognitive processes, such as concentration of attention and the amount of short-term memory, was assessed.

Research results and their discussion. As a result of the pedagogical experiment, significant positive changes were revealed in terms of indicators assessing psychomotor and cognitive processes. Thus, the indicators of static coordination in children of the main group (before – 38,1±2,9 sec., after – 53,2±3,1 sec.) are significantly better than the control (before – 37,5±3,4 sec., after – 45,1±2,9 sec.) by 17,9%. Dynamic coordination indicators in the main group (before – 18,9±2,1 sec., after – 13,5±2,8 sec.) are significantly better than the control one (before – 19,5±2,7 sec., after – 16,5±2,9 sec.) by 22,2%. Indicators of differentiation of finger movements in children of the main group (before – 2,9±1,8, after – 4,9±2,4 points) are significantly better than the control group (before – 2,8±1,9, after – 3,5±1,4 points) by 8,1%. Cognitive processes: concentration of attention in children of the main group (before – 3,7±2,1 min., after – 1,7±1,9 min.) is significantly better than the control group (before – 3,5±1,4 min., after – 3,1±2,4 min.) by 45,1%, the amount of short-term memory in the main group (before – 4,7±1,8, after – 6,9±1,1 number of words) is significantly better than the control one (before – 4,75±0,8, after – 6,1±0,9 number of words) by 13,1%.

Conclusion. A comparative analysis of the results obtained showed that the use of elements of sensory integration in the process of correctional work with children of older preschool age with attention deficit disorder has a positive effect on their psychomotor qualities and cognitive processes.
